Margaux and Sunelle van den Berg are the two brilliant ladies behind Blank Canvas, a wedding and events co-ordination company. They have a insatiable passion to create spectacular weddings through their never ending creative ideas!  Having planned and styled many weddings for a variety of people they have a real keen eye for detail! They are based in Cape Town and work with amazing suppliers to ensure that your event is nothing short of amazing.

Style me woody : New-found little treasures

The past weekend I went to a very wonderful little junk yard that sells awesome little treasures if you are willing to look! I found 2 pink antique plates, a scolloped white platter and these delightful wooden treasures! I felt so inspired by their potential I just had to style them up and take some photo’s!!

So here are the before photo’s: one Nederburg box, a little weathered and 2 old wooden bowls?? (Who knows what it was used for…) I decided to stick to whites, roses, old books, wood and earthy green! Won’t this colour palette work beautifully in a forest inspired wedding? Loving This!!

5 year Love Shoot :: Mihan & Mare ::

Friends of mine recently took a couple of photo’s for their 5th anniversary, yes you heard right, after 5 years! I personally think it is the sweetest thing ever, 5 years is such a bench mark in todays society! After 5 years you have picked up his sock and underwear, you have looked for all his miss placed belongings and pretty much thought of killing him, sonds about right? So why not go for a romantic photoshoot, in your much-loved-worn-once wedding dress? Is’t it every girls dream to wear it once more?

The photo’s are just so amazingly beautiful, and show such newlywed love! I am loving the romantic lighting along with the spontaniety these two are portraying! You can see the love and joy between them!

Well done Lize for capturing these beautiful moments! To the happy couple after so many happy years! Keep on loving and supporting each other! You are such a blessing and inspiration! And I know your love is everlasting!

I absolutely love love love this engagement shoot done by Bryce Covey. Isn’t it just amazingly beautiful? Snow can be such a beautiful prop! I remember living in new york… and the fresh fallen snow never seized to amaze me! It flocks together and fills nature around you!!! Love the freshness this shoot embodies! To al the brides: Remember to make the weather work for you,take the rain, snow and sunshine and make it yours!
