:: Sweet little wedding tips #15 { the hair } ::

When you see wedding pictures you always gush about the dress, the flowers or the decor! It is very seldom that you will notice a brides hairstyle! What we forget is the fatality if the hair and make up clash with the dress! Last week I mentioned having a little trial fitting with your hair and make-up, shes and dress! I stand by this and would really strongly advise all brides to do so! Think about the look and feel of your wedding… classical, elegant, vintage? Let your hair reflect a little of that! If you have a very formal and elegant wedding go for a clean, sleek and classical updo! If you are a vintage bride, let you curls hang loose or add a braid or loose bun! Spend time with your hairdresser and don;t leave it till the last month! Hair colour, new bangs and highlight take some time getting use to! So book yourelf enough time to fix, redo or recoolour if you have to! Rather be safe than sorry!

Below are some updo and down do’s to inspire you and hopefully help you! Remember that although you might not notice the hair first you will always remember the hair that failed or came out as a big mess!

:: Inspiration Friday { Young House Love } ::

I kind of have a thing for house blogs or DYI { as you all could probably tell from the previous friday post } Don’t know why… but I just love to see how people transform there houses! I also get so many ideas, or little finishing details! So today, please welcome Sherry and John Petersik from Young House  Love. They started their blog when they bought their first house and renovating it themselves! Their posts are filled with DYI, paint swatches, great tips as well as the complete  step by step of how they did it! Grouting, tiling?? They will share all their know how knowledge!

The blog grew so popular that it has become their full time jobs! There days are filled with DYI projects and documenting the process to write about it later on! Shortly after their first daughter was born they bought their second house and are currently in the process of renovating it! { I will feature it next week } Be sure to stop by their lovely blog and have a look at their great projects!

:: Wedding Love { Ian & Liza } ::

When deciding which wedding to post for today I was so happy to stumble upon Laura Jane Photography, and the wedding they shot at Diamond Hill! Liza and Ian had such a simplistic, elegant and fun wedding! With glistering eyes full of love for each other and surrounded by friends and family, I always remember why weddings are so special!

I just adore the informal placement of the table décor! A little French, a little country chick! But definitely oh so lovely! From the pretty stacked books to the jumping bridal party! I especially love the night photos! Really something special! Congratulations to the happy couple!

:: Sweet Little wedding tips # 14 { Hair } ::

When it comes to your wedding dress, your wedding hair is just as important! Do you want to show of those shoulders or have your locks romantically flowing around? In wedding hair there are usually just two questions, up or down? But have you ever thought about the question that follows, curls or straight, messy or neat, side parted or braided?  There are just so many options! As a general rule I would say, have at least two hair trails! One with an up do and one with some pretty loose curls! Make sure to fit the dress, shoes and make-up to get the whole picture! Once your hair is compared to the other items, you will very easily see if it works!

Keep in mind that an up-do lasts longer than loose hair, but if you love the romantic whisps of hair try to do two styles for the wedding, one for the ceremony and photo’s and one for the reception! Another fantastic idea is to add a little accessory! Although tiara’s are going out of style, hair pins, flowers and headbands have made their way back! With beautifully crafted beading, lace and chiffon, hair accessories have become very popular! Today I wanted to feature a couple of headpieces! Just to show that there are so many different options, one to suit every hair style and wedding dress! When choosing your hair piece always keep the dress and veil in mind, and always remember that less is usually more { that tat goes for curls as well! } .

** I would recommend  ETSY or Untamed Petals if you are interested in buying a custom head piece **
